Born in Taiwan, Raised in Okinawa: The Story of Ryukyu Churayuki

It Began on Ishigaki Island, Okinawa, in 2009

Ryukyu Churayuki (formerly Yukihana no Sato) began in August 2009.
It opened on Ishigaki Island, Okinawa, as the 15th franchise shop of Yukihana no Sato (雪花の郷).
We began selling the Taiwanese dessert xuehua ice (雪花冰).

2012: Moving to Naha

In February 2012, we moved from Ishigaki Island to our current location in Naha.
We served xuehua ice to many visitors to Okinawa from Japan and around the world.

2015: Independence

In 2015, we became independent from our former franchise headquarters.
This was when we started creating our own products.

"Fluffier still. Chewier still."

We took xuehua ice, born in Taiwan, and kept asking,
"Can we make it even fluffier?"
"Can we bring out a chewy feel inside it?"
We refined it again and again.
The result is our current original dessert, Churapin (美ら冰).

2024: Becoming Ryukyu Churayuki

In February 2024, ahead of nationwide franchise expansion, we changed
our shop name: "Yukihana no Sato" → "Ryukyu Churayuki"
our product name: "xuehua ice" → "Churapin"
"Bringing our original Taiwanese dessert from Okinawa to all of Japan!"
We launched nationwide franchise expansion in April 2024.

2026: Our 17th Anniversary

On August 19, 2026, we celebrated our 17th anniversary.
We will continue to share Churapin, which we have nurtured in Okinawa since 2009, with many more people.
